It’s been a long journey to get here, but today after two hours of administrative banter in an office tucked in a back street in Bern, my days of a being semi-legal country-wandering jobless nomad student are over! Included in the Bern official welcome package.. a little city map, a free public transport ticket, and 6 65mg iodine tablets.. “to be used in the event of the explosion of a nuclear facility”.. hmmm…

Despite what Wilsonian says, I’ve been caught up in several unfortunate explosions of nuclear facilities, and have always found that one or two iodine capsules sort it out.
